![]() My cpu is pretty powerful to handle that at this speed. I also avoid the annoying click stutter with these two commands so when I am placing blueprints I dont have to pause the game even though I have 200 dwarves and max 250 children with up to 100 visitors. you can set it to 2 or 3 that way the speed of the dwarves matches the flow of time. the calendar moves faster which is just my preference. My fortress mode has 9-20 fps but the dwarves move as if it is about 90fps. Then the fastdwarf command keeps the unit movement speed up to the maximum and the 0 sets teleportation to off so that you dont have to feel too cheaty with it. Timestream command basically sets the calender to 12x speed and also seperately simulates units movement as if they were set to -fps 120 What is happening when I run these commands in the dfhack gui/launcher is that the Then to ensure the dwarves still move fast enough I use Refuse and worn clothing items are fine to atom-smash though.įps will stay low but I like to use timestream -rate 12, -units -fps 120 Only when theyre falling or when the temperature in the room keeps changing frequently. Theres barely any calculations done with them when theyre in stockpiles. I dont believe regular items will cause much lag. This limits pathfinding and how many dwarfs can see each other. For example a 3x3 X-shape where 4 out of 9 tiles will not have any stairs. What size and design are your staircases? There are more efficient stair designs for path finding. ![]() Using these arrows you will restrict pathfinding to a smaller area. Painting walking routes using the red, yellow and green arrow brushes might work. Most mega project will have low fps because theyre so large. ![]() Very large open rooms with many dwarfs or other creatures require a lot of processing power.
